Tasmanian seafood pioneer George Mure collaborated with wife and cook Jill and photographer Richard Bennett to produce a guide to Tasmanian fishing with beautiful photography and recipes. No one knows the delicate balance of marine resources better than the careful fisherman George Mure. George warns of over fishing and other problems which threaten the sustainability of what he describes as our “cornucopia of the sea’.
Tasmania has arguably Australia’s best variety and quality of seafood in Australia. Our cool clean waters produce the finest tasting ocean trout and salmon, scallops, crayfish, clams, giant crab, mussels, abalone, octopus and squid, sea urchin, tuna and wild fish. This book is a celebration of Tasmania and its island life and is without rival Tasmania’s best book on seafood.
